To keep your La Tiera jewelry beautiful for longer, we recommend following this simple rule:
Last on, first off.
Put your jewelry on after applying perfume, lotion, sunscreen, makeup, or hairspray. Take it off before showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping, or cleaning.

- Lotion, sunscreen, and oils
- Chlorine and salt water
- Sweat and long moisture exposure
- Harsh cleaning chemicals
- Ultrasonic cleaners for pearls or delicate pieces
- Storing multiple pieces together without protection
STERLING SILVER
What to Know
925 Sterling Silver is a lightweight metal made of 92.5% pure silver. It’s highly durable and designed for everyday wear. We add anti-tarnish to all of our jewelry to prolong its beauty. Proactive maintenance is the best way to prolong the lifespan of sterling silver.
How to Store
Store in a safe, dry place with the anti-tarnish strip that came with your purchase to protect from the elements of daily exposure. All of our Jewelry Cases have an anti-tarnish microsuede lining for easy care.
How to clean sterling silver jewelry
Proactive maintenance is the best way to prolong the lifespan of sterling silver.
Clean by wiping with a soft, dry cloth. To remove tarnish, buff gently with a silver polishing cloth or use our Jewelry Care Kit.
Ultrasonic cleaners are safe to use on silver jewelry.
Please note: If you’re wearing pieces made of oxidized silver, they must be cleaned differently. Oxidized silver products have a special finish, so we recommend a dry clean with no water or silver cleaning polish; otherwise, the finish may rub off entirely.
PEARLS
What to Know
Pearls can be sensitive to environmental factors, so treat them with love. Maintain the brilliance and luster of pearls by wearing them often to prevent drying.
How to Store
When not being worn, store pearls in a safe place. Avoid storing pearls in ultra-dry environments as this can be damaging.
How to clean pearl jewelry
Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishing cloths, however, the spray and brush from our Jewelry Care Kit are safe to use.
Do not use steam or ultrasonic cleaners.

What to Know
Gemstones have varying degrees of hardness and need to be cared for properly. Many colored gemstones are susceptible to discoloration and fading when excessively exposed to natural elements such as sun, salt water, perspiration, and chemical irritants like chlorine, cosmetics, and lotions.

Store your jewelry in a safe, dry place when you're not wearing it to protect it from the elements of daily exposure.
How to clean gemstone jewelry
Dull gemstones don’t do us any favors—thankfully, ours shine up effortlessly with a little love and care.
Do not use steam or ultrasonic cleaners on colored gemstones, as they can damage or permanently discolor them. Most gemstones can be gently cleaned in warm water using non-detergent soap and a soft-bristled brush, or our jewelry care kit.
